Availability of self-catering facilities, close proximity to outdoor activities, charming village atmosphere
Noise levels at night were distracting, particularly from the main strip!!! Furniture and decor felt outdated !!! Poor sound insulation left me hearing everything from other guests!!!

unbelievable! the bed base was shabby and the water in the bathroom washbasin wouldn’t drain properly—it definitely added to the charm of my stay, right? also, after all that, i expected a complimentary gesture or perhaps a room upgrade, but i guess that’s just too much to ask, isn’t it?

A rollercoaster of pros and cons
The location was fantastic, with large, clean, and comfy triple rooms ideal for our group. The beds were SUPER comfy! !
Noise from local nightlife was disruptive, and the furniture felt outdated, diminishing the overall experience.

Nice stay with a handy kitchen
We had a solid time here! The kitchenette was super useful for making snacks and keeping drinks cold. It's in a good spot, and we got an extra two beds, which would be great for families. Just wish the wifi was better. it was a bit slow at times.

No negatives to mention.

Oh, the Bernese Fries at nearby Magees Seafood Bistro are a must-try, crispy and golden deliciousness! The double room we got had generous windows giving us a lovely view of Carlingford's quaint streets and cozy ambiance. And speaking of cozy, the bathroom was spacious and made our stay super comfortable.
With the noise from the town square, it felt like a party outside, even with the window shut—definitely not for a quiet getaway! the floor could've used a bit of a clean. dust was sneaking in! the shower was a gem, making mornings feel luxurious despite the chaos.

Just a nice choice for a short visit in Carlingford with fantastic value for money. Everything was spotless, and the room had plenty of space with a kettle and a toaster for our convenience. Look for a room at the back to avoid noise from the main strip.
